Serving devotees of Shri Gajanan Maharaj with devotion, comfort and care.
Shri Gajanan Maharaj is one of the most revered saints of Maharashtra, first seen at Shegaon in the year 1878. Regarded as an incarnation in the tradition of the Datta and Nath sampradaya, he lived as a Paramahansa — a self-realised saint — and blessed countless devotees with his darshan, teachings and miracles.
His life is lovingly recorded in the Shri Gajanan Vijay Granth, a sacred text read in homes across Maharashtra and beyond. On the 8th day of the dark fortnight of Bhadrapada, Shri Gajanan Maharaj took Sanjeevan Samadhi at Shegaon in 1910, and the Samadhi Mandir built at that sacred spot remains a powerful centre of faith to this day.
“Gan Gan Ganat Bote” — the sacred chant given by Shri Gajanan Maharaj, echoing his message of simplicity, surrender and devotion.
Shegaon is a town in the Buldhana district of the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, India. It is world-famous as the sacred abode of Shri Gajanan Maharaj and draws lakhs of pilgrims every year, especially during Ram Navami, Gurupushyamrut, the Prakat Din (appearance day) and the Punyatithi (Samadhi day).
The town is well-connected by rail and road, and is known for the exemplary cleanliness, discipline and devotee-service (seva) that surround the temple complex. Beyond the Samadhi Mandir, devotees also visit Anand Sagar, a serene spiritual and recreational complex maintained for the benefit of visitors.
